Words of the Adventist Pioneers 2008 (3rd Ed.)

Third Edition Released!

As of May 6 the collection we have been calling the Third Edition, now entitled Words of the Adventist Pioneers 2008 [WOAP], has been released as part of the Ellen G. White Writings Comprehensive Research Edition 2008 CD-ROM [EGW CRE]. The EGW CRE with all of its collections is priced at US$19.99. Yes, you read that right! We believe your patience has been rewarded. The EGW CRE fits onto one CD-ROM!

This will be the only CD-ROM form of publication of our WOAP collection.

As noted on the above graphic of the CD-ROM back cover, the EGW CRE contains these sections:
--1. Ellen G. White writings (books, pamphlets, periodical articles)
--2. Ellen G. White biographical writings
--3. Ellen G. White Comprehensive Index (topical with references linked to writings)
--4. KJV Bible
--5. Storybooks on Ellen G. White for children
--6. Ellen G. White reference works
--7. Ellen G. White topical papers
--8. Noah Webster's 1828 American Dictionary
--9. Words of the Adventist Pioneers [This is the APL collection, our third edition of the non-EGW writings.]
-10. Historical reference works [d'Aubigne, Wylie, etc.]

For more information on the WOAP section of the CD-ROM, check out a list of the new titles in the WOAP collection, and a comparison of total pages with the 2nd Edition. The actual file size has almost tripled in comparison with the Second Edition, so number of pages do not tell the whole story!

Our new partnership with the Ellen G. White Estate is opening up doors to make the pioneer writings even more accessible. And the latest simplification of release formats promise even wider access. We thank God for His unfolding providence!

How to Order / Price

Please purchase the Comprehensive Research Edition 2008 CD-ROM containing our WOAP collection from one of the following:
(1) a local ABC store [check for availability]
(2) ABC Online store [Those outside of North America should go to this web site].
(3) Light Bearers Resource Center.

The suggested retail price is $19.99.

For those of you who were expecting a discount that we offered at some exhibit or with some mailing in the past, and for those who were looking for an upgrade path from some previous edition of our CD-ROM collection, we trust that you can see that this extremely low retail price should suffice to honor any obligation we may have incurred to you with such expectations.

System Requirements

Minimum System Requirements (as noted on the CD-ROM back cover above):
1. Intel Pentium II or better processor
2. Microsoft Windows 98 through Windows 7
3. 64 MB or greater available RAM
4. 700 MB of available hard disk space
5. Color monitor set to 16-bit or higher color
6. XGA (1024x768) resolution monitor
7. CD-ROM drive

Mac Users

As the System Requirements above indicate, the Folio software that accesses and searches all the writings on the EGW CRE does not run under the Mac OS. Those with Macs with Intel processors can install the Windows OS under the Boot Camp partition, and then install the CD-ROM within the Windows partition. In order to avoid having to reboot into the Boot Camp partition each time you want to access the Windows OS and its software, you can install a "virtual machine" software (such as VMWare Fusion or Parallels) that will allow Windows to run within a Mac window. [There are more exotic solutions in the works that will hopefully be generally available soon, not requiring the Windows OS.]
