O blest are they who oft have said,"I thirst for righteousness;I hunger for the heavenly breadWith anguish and distress."

They of My fullness shall be fed,For which they hungered sore;And there, by living waters led,Their souls shall thirst no more.

Because I am the Truth, the Life,All fullness dwells in me;They know no want, no sin, no strife,Through all eternity.

How blessed, then, to share a partWith those that hunger here;To have the panting, thirsty heart,And shed the bitter tear!

O give me, Lord, the grace to knowAnd feel my need of thee;To long for righteousness belowTill I thy fullness see.
