Work, Watch, Pray
Work when the morning shineth,
1
Work when the morning shineth,Work when the noonday gleams,Work when the day declineth,Work with its latest beams.
Chorus.
Work (and) watch (and) pray,Work for the day will soon be gone;Work (and) watch (and) pray,Soon will the Master come.
2
Work with a heart inspiring,Work with a ready hand,Work for the pure and holy,Work for the true and grand.
3
Work till the summons cometh,—Join with the hosts at rest;So shall thy days be joyful,So shall thy nights be blest.
