I never shall forget the day,
When Jesus washed my sins away,
*Chorus.*
Now my soul is very happy,
Will you go along with me?
Now my soul is very happy,
Go sound the Jubilee.
I am happy in this house of clay,
But what is this to perfect day?
Ther,es a better day a coming:
Will you go along with me?
Now my soul, &c.
Though sinners persecute me here,
Through Jesus Christ I'll persevere;
Christ will ruin Satan's kingdom—
Will you go along with me?
Now my soul, &c.
A little longer here below,
Then home to glory we shall go:—
I am on my way to glory—
Will you go along with me?
Now my soul, &c.
Come on, come on, my brethren dear,
We soon shall meet together there;
When we'll join the saints in glory,—
Will you go along with me?
Now my soul, &c.

*Millennial Harp (1843):* The same hymn as «Jubilee» (Millennial Harp Part II, p. 14, with music): the same five stanzas and chorus (MH «wash'd» / here «washed»; MH «There's» / here «Ther,es»). This print writes the chorus once and the cue «Now my soul, &c.» after each later stanza, which confirms how MH's four-line stanzas take the refrain. Folder: `Millennial Harp (1843) archives.org/2. Transcribed/II_014_Jubilee/`.
