As printed Hymns designed for the use of the Second Advent Band* (1843) — printed pp. 21–23 (PDF 25–27), «HYMN 12.», italic title *The Last Trumpet.* Stanza 1 prints the threefold line and the refrain «For Gabriel's going to blow, &c. / By and by, by and by, / For Gabriel's going to blow by and by.»; stanzas 2–13 are couplets (the first line abbreviated with «&c.»). The Millennial Harp prints the same song with music under the same title (Part II, p. 40): twelve stanzas, without this book's last stanza «O if I no more see you, &c.».
