Keep Your Windows Open
Would you fear to have your windows open
1
Would you fear to have your windows openThree times each day,If sinners saw that you were kneelingThree times to pray?
Chorus.
Keep your windows open to'ard Jerusalem,Keep your windows open to'ard Jerusalem;Keep your windows open to'ard Jerusalem,And always pray.
2
Would you offer up a bold petition,If well you knewThat awful den of roaring lionsAwaited you?
3
Would you kneel believing ev'ry promiseThe Lord has giv'n?Or thinking silent prayer sufficientFor you and heav'n?
4
The lesson taught is not to offerA world-wide prayer:'Tis duty first, and then the promiseOf heav'nly care.
5
Then kneel at morning, noon, and evening,Nor ever fearThat others who are unbelievingYour prayer may hear.
