⤢ Full screenO come, let us sing unto the Lord;Let us heartily rejoice in the Strength of our Salvation.Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving,And show ourselves glad in him with psalms.
For the Lord is a great God;And a great King above all gods.In his hand are all the corners of the earth; And the strength of the hills is his also.
The sea is his, and he made it;And his hands prepared the dry land.O come, let us worship and fall down,And kneel before the Lord our Maker.
Bars separated by « | », the two halves of a bar by « / »; «( )» = the held word continues (printed dash).

About this hymn
As printed As printed on p. 616 (PDF 617), under the end of hymn 1404: hymn number «1405» (large, left), title «O COME, LET US SING!» centred (condensed capitals and small capitals), «DR. BOYCE.» at the right (capitals and small capitals). No author or source of the words, no meter, no remission line. The words are prose (a psalm) set to a double chant: three lines of words under the treble of each system; the lines of system 1 are numbered «1.», «2.», «3.» and each continues in the unnumbered line of the same rank in system 2. Each printed line is given here as its two half-verses (each half begins with a capital in the print). Syllables divided under the notes are joined («un - to», «Sal - vation», «a - bove», «pre- / par-ed», «be- / fore»: «prepared» is printed «pre- par-ed», its last two syllables under one note); «King» is printed with a wide gap («Kin g»); the dashes after «great», «dry» and «his» are the chant's sign that the word is held over the next note, not punctuation of the text, and are left out here (they stand in lyrics_syllables.txt). «thanksgiving,» is printed as one word. Spelling («show»), capitals («Strength») and punctuation are the print's; the thin spaces before «;» are closed up.
