Great God, whose universal swayAll heaven reveres, all worlds obey,Now make the Savior's glory known,Extend his power, exalt his throne.
2
Thy sceptre well becomes his hands,Angels submit to his commands; His justice shall protect the poor,And pride and rage prevail no more.
3
With power he vindicates the just,And treads th' oppressor in the dust; His righteous government shall last,Till days, and years, and time be past.
