About this hymn
As printed Millennial Harp (1843), Part II, p. 24 — the whole page: four systems, two staves (Treble with the words, Bass), F major, 2/4, a one-beat pickup and sixteen bars in two strains, each strain closed by the printer's repeat mark (four dots; a heavy bar at the end). The hymnal prints no metre, author or composer. Stanza 1 is printed between the staves; stanzas 2–9 fill printed p. 25 (PDF 101), which holds nothing else. In stanzas 2–9 the «&c.» stands for the repetition of the first line that the music writes out three times.
