Sing ye the Lord Jehovah's praise;
His glorious name let all adore,
From age to age, forevermore.
Who is like God? so great, so high,
He bows himself to view the sky;
And yet, with condescending grace,
Looks down upon the human race.
He hears the uncomplaining moan
Of those who sit and weep alone;
He lifts the mourner from the dust;
In him the poor may safely trust.
O then aloud, in joyful lays,
Sing to the Lord Jehovah's praise;
His saving name let all adore,
From age to age, forevermore.
About this hymn
As printed Words only. As printed: hymn number «20», reference line «108, 101, 23.» in italics (sing to the tune of hymn 108, 101 or 23), four numbered stanzas in the left column of p. 12 below hymn 19, «James Montgomery.» in italics at the end. The first word «SERVANTS» is set in small capitals. The print sets a thin space before «;» and «?» («praise ;», «God ?», «sky ;», «alone ;», «dust ;»); it is closed up here. Spelling, punctuation and capitals are the print's; the lines of each stanza are set flush (no indentation). No meter is printed (the text is L. M., 8.8.8.8).
