1

'Tis faith that purifies the heart:'Tis faith that works by love,That bids all sinful joys depart,And lifts the thoughts above.

2

Faith shows the promise fully sealedWith our Redeemer's blood; It helps our feeble hope to restUpon a faithful God.

3

This faith shall every fear controlBy its celestial power,With holy triumph fill the soulIn strong temptation's hour.

The first word «'TIS» is set in capitals and small capitals after the apostrophe; written «'Tis». «Anon.» in italics, right-aligned after stanza 3. The print sets a thin space before «:» and «;» («heart :», «blood ;»); it is closed up here. Spelling, punctuation and capitals are the print's.
