⤢ Full screenThere'll be no night in heaven,—In that blest world above; No anxious toil, no weary hours; For labor there is love.
Ref.—There'll be no sorrow there,There'll be no sorrow there,In heaven above, where all is love,There'll be no sorrow there.
There 'll be no grief in heaven; For life is one glad day,And tears are of those former thingsWhich all have passed away.
There 'll be no sin in heaven;Behold that blessed throng,All holy in their spotless robes,All holy in their song.
There 'll be no death in heaven; For they who gain that shoreHave won their immortality,And they can die no more.
About this hymn
As printed As printed: running head «REWARD OF SAINTS.»; hymn number «985» (large), tune name «NO SORROW THERE. S. M.» centred over the music (capitals and small capitals), «E. W. DUNBAR.» at the right (capitals and small capitals). The whole tune is one system enclosed in repeat signs. Stanza 1 is interlinear, between the staves, in a small condensed bold face, with «1.» before «There'll»; the refrain is printed in the same face UNDER the bass staff, headed «Ref.—», and is sung to the same music on the repeat. «heaven», «above», «weary» and «sorrow» (second time) are set solid over their notes; «anx-ious», «la - bor» and «sor-row» are hyphenated (see `lyrics_syllables.txt`). The reference line «89, 688, 736.» in italic figures stands under the music, above stanza 2 (= the words may also be sung to the tunes of hymns 89 DOVE, 688 DENNIS or 736 SELVIN, all S. M.); stanzas 2–4 are printed as text in the left column, numbered «2»–«4» without periods (written «2.»–«4.» here, as in the other deliveries of this book); lines 2 and 4 of each stanza are indented, and stanza 1 and the refrain are laid out the same way here. «Fredrick D. Huntington.» in italics, right-aligned, after stanza 4 (spelling as printed). In stanzas 2–4 «There 'll» is set with a space before the apostrophe and is kept so (as in HT_0019, HT_0026); in the interlinear stanza 1 and the refrain it is set close, «There'll». The print sets a thin space before «;» («heaven ;», «above ;», «hours ;»); it is closed up here. Spelling, punctuation and capitals are the print's.
