⤢ Full screen'Tis down into the waterWhere we believers go,To serve our Lord and MasterIn righteous acts below; We lay our mortal bodiesBeneath the yielding wave,An emblem of the SaviourWhen he lay in the grave.
The light of truth is spreading,And shining now for thee; And sweet its notes are soundingTo set the captive free; And while this glorious messageIs spreading far around,Some souls exposed to ruin,Redeeming grace have found.
