1

Millennial Harp (1843), Part II, p. 14 — four systems, two staves (Treble with the words, Bass), B flat major, 2/4, an eighth-note pickup. Stanza 1 is printed between the staves; stanzas 2–5 are printed as verse at the top of p. 15, above the rule that separates them from the next hymn («Laban.»). No meter, author, composer, tempo or dynamics are printed.

2

The music sets six text lines: the four lines of the stanza and then the third and a closing line again («Now my soul is very happy, / Go sound the Jubilee.»). Stanzas 2–5 are printed with four lines only, so the singer repeats the third line and the closing line of stanza 1 as a refrain — the print does not say so; see `uncertainties.md`.

1
I never shall forget the day,
When Jesus wash'd my sins away.
Now my soul is very happy,
Will you go along with me?
Now my soul is very happy,
Go sound the Jubilee.

4

2
I am happy in this house of clay,
But what is this to perfect day?
There's a better day a coming;
Will you go along with me?

5

3
Though sinners persecute me here,
Through Jesus Christ I'll persevere;
Christ will ruin Satan's kingdom—
Will you go along with me?

6

4
A little longer here below,
Then home to glory we shall go:—
I am on my way to glory —
Will you go along with me?

7

5
Come on, come on, my brethren dear,
We soon shall meet together there;
When we'll join the saints in glory,—
Will you go along with me?
