⤢ Full screenO perfect law of the Most High!
Law ever holy, just, and good!
No other code with thee can vie,
Unrivaled thou hast ever stood.
Let thy ten words my soul convert
From every false and sinful way;
Write thy pure precepts on my heart,
That from thy truth I may not stray.
Then in the glorious world to come,
No more I'll need the chastening rod;
For all who reach that blissful home
Will be in harmony with God.
About this hymn
As printed Words only. As printed: hymn number «200», reference line «136, 108, 215.» in italics (sing to the tune of hymn 136, 108 or 215); the whole hymn stands in the right column of p. 68, below hymn 199; «R. F. Cottrell.» in italics at the end. The first word after «O», «PERFECT», is set in capitals and small capitals. The print sets a thin space before «!» and «;» («High !», «good !», «way ;», «rod ;»); it is closed up here. The printer's curly apostrophe is written straight («I'll»). Lines 2 and 4 of each stanza are indented in the print. Spelling, punctuation and capitals are the print's. No meter is printed (the text is L. M., 8.8.8.8).
