1

Come, all ye saints, to Pisgah's mountain;Come view your home beyond the tide; The land we love is just before us;Soon we'll be on the other side.O there are the bright crowns of glory,And mansions the Saviour will give; And they who have loved his appearing,With him shall eternally live.

2

There endless springs of life are flowing,There are the fields of living green;Mansions of beauty are before them,And the King of the saints is seen.Soon our conflicts and toils will be ended,—We 'll be tried and be tempted no more; And the saints of all ages and nationsWe shall greet on that heavenly shore.

3

Faith now beholds the flowing river,Coming from underneath the throne; There, too, the Saviour reigns forever,And he 'll welcome the faithful home.Would you walk by the banks of the river,With the friends you have loved by your side?Would you join in the song of the angels? Then be ready to follow your Guide.

About this hymn

As printed As printed: running head «MISCELLANEOUS—OLD MELODIES.»; hymn number «1163» (large), tune name «PISGAH'S MOUNTAIN.» centred (condensed capitals and small capitals), «ARRANGED.» at the right (capitals and small capitals); no meter and no reference line. Stanza 1 is interlinear, «1.» before two lines in braces on each system: system 1 «Come, all ye saints, to Pisgah's mountain; Come view your home beyond the tide» over «The land we love is just be- (omit.) . . .», with «fore us;» right of the closing brace; system 2 «Soon we'll be on the oth-er side.» then the braces «O there are the bright crowns of glo-ry,» over «And they who have loved his ap-pearing,»; system 3 «And man-sions the Sav-iour will give;» over «(omit.) . . .», with «With him shall e-ter-nal-ly live.» right of the brace (see `lyrics_syllables.txt`). It is given below in the eight verse lines of stanzas 2–3, as it is sung (first brace line, then second brace line with its continuation). Stanzas 2 and 3 are printed as text in two columns below the music, numbered «2» and «3» without a full stop (written «2.», «3.» here, as in the other deliveries of this book), the even lines indented (kept here); «Anon.» in italics after stanza 3. After «tide» the print shows only a raised dot — the upper dot of a «;» whose lower part did not print; read «tide;» (the same place has «;» in stanzas 2 and 3). «bright» and «his» have a damaged «b» in the interlinear line; stanza 3 line 6 is printed almost without word spaces («Withthefriendsyouhavelovedbyyourside?»). The print sets a thin space before «;» and «?» («mountain ;», «green ;», «angels ?»); it is closed up here. In the stanzas «We 'll» and «he 'll» are printed with a space before the apostrophe (kept, as in the other deliveries of this book); the interlinear «we'll» is printed close. Spelling («Saviour»), punctuation and capitals are the print's.
