About this hymn

As printed As printed: no running head on this page (it opens with «I'LL STAND BY YOU.—Concluded.», the end of hymn 1194); hymn number «1195» (large, left), title «MY SONG.» centred (condensed capitals and small capitals); on the line below, «F. E. BELDEN.» at the left (words), the epigraph «"The Lord is my strength and song."—Ps. 118 : 14.» in the centre, and «D. S. HAKES.» at the right (music), both names in capitals and small capitals. No meter and no reference line are printed (the text is 7.6.7.6 D, the chorus 7.6.7.6). All four stanzas are interlinear, numbered «1.»–«4.», in system 1 and the first three bars of system 2; «CHORUS.» stands over the music after the heavy bar of system 2, and the chorus words run on the level of the stanza-2 line there («O Je - sus, my Re-deem-er, My») and as one line in system 3. The chorus is printed once and is sung after every stanza. Under the music, centred: «By permission O. Ditson & Co.» Words printed whole under two notes («Comfort», «shadows», «joicing») and the syllable divisions are recorded in `lyrics_syllables.txt`; here the words are joined. The print sets a thin space before «;» («Guide ;», «thee ;»); it is closed up here; curly quotes are written straight. Spelling, punctuation and capitals are the print's («Saviour», «Joy», «Song», «Solace», «Rejoicing», «heavenly»).
