Description
James White was an able and talented administrator, a missionary leader, and an efficient evangelist. In 1842 he joined William Miller and Joseph Bates in preaching the message of the soon coming of Christ. After the Disappointment in 1844, he became the great apostle of the Sabbath-keeping Adventist movement. No other minister accomplished more than he in the introduction of principles and efficiency in our churches.
