Adventist History Syllabus UPDATED with Audio & Slides! 
  • Syllabus covering 80 years of SDA history (1831-1910), with introductory material, as well as some events since 1910; updated 22 March 2018. This syllabus was developed for the ARISE training program, and has been presented in in various locations and formats:
    (1) 3-part, 3-hour audio version, presented at GYC-Northwest, College Place, Washington, March 22, 2018 is on AudioVerse: Part 1; Part 2; Part 3.
    (2) 9-part Portuguese version presented in Espinho, Portugal, April 13-21, 2018 in on Fé & Evidências YouTube’s channel; see also the Português edition of syllabus.

Color Maps for A. T. Jones’ Great Empires of Prophecy
  • In A. T. Jones’ 1898 book Great Empires of Prophecy he had 22 color maps illustrating his history. In our 2016 edition of this book, the maps were included but without color. The maps are better read with the color highlighting the regions being addressed. Click here for a list of the maps, and the pages in the 2016 book where they occur, linked to files of each map in color, for the benefit of readers who would like to obtain a file of any or all of these historical maps.

Pioneers  Writings in new macOS EGW app! APL’s Pioneer writings collection is now available in the new native macOS app, EGW Writings. Click here to access the latest version.
Pioneer Writings in Folio Program The latest edition of the pioneer writings in Folio is called Words of the Adventist Pioneers 2008 collection, and was released as part of the Ellen G. White Writings Comprehensive Research Edition 2008. Initially sold on a CD-ROM, the best way at present to acquire the writings is to download the available collections with supporting software for a minimum $15 donation at the EGW Estate Donation page. You can also check out the new titles as well as the complete list of titles for the APL collection on the CD-ROM.
Pioneer Writings Online The Words of the Adventist Pioneers collection is available online at www.EGWWritings.org. Look for the section entitled “Adventist Pioneer Library.” Go to our CD-ROM page for more information.
Pioneer Writings in Digital Audio, plus eBooks! Selected writings of the pioneers are available in digital audio files that you can download free of charge. Visit AdventAudio.org to check on titles. You will also find pioneer e-books–virtually all the books and pamphlets in our collection!

2nd Edition Recent Authors You may now download the 1995 collection of “Recent Authors” that was on our Second Edition CD-ROM, and access it with the FolioView software that comes with the Ellen G. White Writings CD-ROMs. This included works by Leon Cobb, Leslie Hardinge, Carsten Johnsen, David Lin, John Peters, and Virginia Steinweg. This will download as a PDF file, but you must replace the “.pdf” file extension with “.nfo” in order to open it with FolioViews. Right click this link to download  (Macs: Control-Click), and save to a location that FolioViews can see (especially important in the Mac implementations of FolioViews). Don’t forget to replace the file extension as indicated above before trying to open it with FolioViews! Use the File>Open menu in FolioViews to locate and open the collection.You may find more information about Carsten Johnsen and his works at the web site dedicated to him.
Lest We Forget Periodical The Lest We Forget periodical is available as free PDF download! Our back issues are scanned and uploaded to links on our Periodical page.
Publication of our periodical was suspended after Volume 12, Number 2.

Pioneer Research We cannot do historical research for you!

Translation Projects

  • French: Our French translation of The Great Second Advent Movement is in its final stages of editing. Please donate!
  • Spanish: This year we have completed Estudios en Educación Cristiana (Spanish Studies in Christian Education) by E. A. Sutherland (4 September 2017) and Las Aventuras del Capitán Joseph Bates (Spanish Autobiography of Elder Joseph Bates) by Joseph Bates (7 April 2017). Stay tuned for more!
  • Swahili: We have begun work on a Swahili edition of The Great Second Advent Movement. (Swahili is used by as many as 150 million in Kenya, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia, Mozambique, Malawi, Rwanda and Burundi, Somalia, and the Comoro Islands.)
  • Romanian: We are working to reprint a 1994 Romanian edition of The Great Second Advent Movement.

2016 ASI INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION, Phoenix Convention Center, Phoenix, Arizona, August 3–6, 2016. FINISHED. Our highlighted books were the newly released two volumes by A. T. Jones in his Empire Series, The Great Empires of Prophecy and Ecclesiastical Empire, along with the recently updated 1897 Uriah Smith Daniel and the Revelation.

FIRST NATIONAL FAMILY RETREAT, Wewoka Woods Adventist Center, Wewoka, Oklahoma, March 30 to April 3, 2016. FINISHED. This was a new venue in response to an urgent request to be present and share our resources with the gathered families.

GYC CONVENTION, Louisville, Kentucky, December 30, 2015 to January 3, 2016. FINISHED. A passerby said over her shoulder, “Home schoolers thank God for Adventist Pioneer Library.”

2014 ASI INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION, Spokane Convention Center, Spokane, Washington, August 5–8, 2015. FINISHED.

GENERAL CONFERENCE SESSION, San Antonio, Texas, July 2-11, 2015. FINISHED. Marathon exhibit session! Exhibited new 2015 edition of The Great Second Advent Movement, and the new Spanish translation El Gran Movimiento Adventista, as well as the new edition of E. A. Sutherland’s Studies in Christian Education. New Portuguese titles No Poder do Espírito and A Lei Dominical Nacional were also available.

GYC CONVENTION, Phoenix, Arizona, December 31, 2014 to January 4, 2015. FINISHED.

2014 ASI INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION, DeVos Place Convention Center, Grand Rapids, Michigan, August 6–9, 2014: FINISHED. The theme was “Christ Our Righteousness.” We had new releases of books in the Adventist Pioneer Library Series of Prescott’s material on righteousness by faith, In the Spirit’s Power and The Divine-Human Family. We had wonderful specials, with most of the books with a free audio book CD.

GYC CONVENTION, Orlando, Florida, January 1-5, 2014: FINISHED. We displayed and sold new pioneer books being reprinted in paperback as part of the Adventist Pioneer Library Series. Lots of interest in the new books!
